If you like zombies then you would like this book. Unlike a lot of the polished art that we see in a lot of IDW books this one has a distinct indy/pulp feel to it. It wasn’t what I expected.
The writers went to the same well as many others and bring the world to a zombie apocalypse. Again fans of the zombie genre will love this take though. This one starts out with a bitter husband that thinks his wife is cheating on him. Well she is, as she goes of to her job where she sells dances for money. (Just regular dances, nothing too XXX.) We find out that her lover is actually a blond Russian chick. Then bring on the zombies. Some graphic violence and gore, The two lovers are off into the world together after killing the lead characters husband twice…end book.
This book was recommended to me by a reliable source so I decided to give it a shot. I am unimpressed with it but will probably try to get the next 2 issues just to see if it is worth reading, or because it doesn’t look like there is much potential for a longtime ongoing I will probably just wait for the trade.
