    After a violent incident with a special chemical, Dr. Alec Holland, a research scientist, is turned into a swamp plant monster. He is pursued by a rival scientist, Dr. Anton Arcane, who wants his special formula for himself. Swamp Thing also protects his good friend Alice Cable from Arcane's henchmen.
