    We start off this issue on the USS Enterprise with Geordi giving Data's systems a diagnostic. Geordi suggests Data get some new parts as his current ones are about 30 years old. Data is against it because of the idea that replacing his parts will make him not himself anymore. It's a nice scene and very in character for Data. Apparently Riker Data and Worf are about to embark on an away mission to check on the progress of a Starfleet mining operation on a planet of Fish People. Worf remarks that ...

    The new issue of the Doctor Who/Star Trek TNG is a tough read. It feels more of a slog to finish instead of the thrill ride it might have been. I don't know if the pacing is deliberate and all of this painful introduction is just lead up to a final kick-ass conclusion but I doubt it more after reading this issue.While the first issue of Star Trek: The Next Generation - Doctor Who: Assimilation Squared focused too much on the Doctor and his companions the second issue focuses too much on the crew...
