They Did The Best They Could 0

Many have said that Watchmen is a graphic novel, that is impossible to make into a movie. Director Zack Snyder has showed us that it is possible. The movie begins in the best way possible, The Comedian and the Mask killer fight to the death, and boy is it a kick ass fight. It's easily one of my favorite fights of a comic book movie yet. Then we are treated to a ....decent...opening credits. After the credits we get a movie that is pretty much exactly like the graphic novel. I give props to Zack ...

    Caligula reviews - "Watchmen" 0

Now, after reviewing the Motion Comic, i said i would give my opinion on the live action film.Overall the films not bad. But it does have some set backs ::SPOILERS AHEAD::the biggest set back is the ending, Zack Snyder tried to play God here, and change the ending to what is in my opinion the greatest story ever commited to paper. With that being said, the newly adapted ending isn't bad, and doesn't feel forced, my only complaint is that he stuck so close to the original story up till then, so w...

The Best Comic Has The Best Movie 2

If only every Comic Book Movie was done by  Zach Snyder. Just like the comic, the movie is a masterpeice. But being awesome is not the only thing the movie has in common with the Comic. They made it MORE true to the comic than the comic itself.  I mean, look at what they Did; they hired the actors who could act like they parts instead of the most popular actors, more than 80% of the lines were lines from the Comics, The music (done by Tyler Bates) fitted in prefectly with what was happening at ...

Watchmen(The greatest film I have ever seen) 0

Watchmen is fantastic!!!! The movie was almost played dead on to the comic. Almost every phrase and sentence was word for word to the comic! It was like I was reading the comic all over again but in moving pictures. All of the characters acted as I would expect they would in real life. The fighting scene between Rorschach vs the SWAT team was heart pounding excitement. Of coarse the quotes made by Jackie Earle Haley AKA Rorschach AKA Walter Kovacs were spectacular ; the dramatic death of Rorscha...

One of the greatest movies of all time! 0

When I first watched this film, I didn't think it was going to be enjoyable, I hadn't read the graphic novel at the time and it looked like a very complicated storyline...well when people say don't judge a book by it's cover, you best believe them because this my friends is absolutely fantastic. I can't do this film justice with the amount of praise I'm gonna give it, it's amazing. The film has the perfect beginning, with the fight between the Comedian and the Mask Killer (a.k.a Ozymandias). You...

    Watchmen Review 1

Watchmen is just plain Beautiful. The film is very well done and I was honestly pleasantly surprised to find it much better than I was expecting it to be! Absolutely fabulous visual effects and I love how it got the R rating this graphic novel deserves. In my opinion this film-adaptation did not take away from the book at all. The characters definitely came to life through the actors in full velocity and are completely believable and enjoyable – I feel Jeffrey Dean Morgan gave the greatest perfo...

    Watchmen Review 0

I loved this movie! I loved how the graphic novel was adapted for the most part but it did have a couple of flaws. The thing that bugged me about Rorschach was how he dealt with Frank Bryce after the murder of Blaire Roche. I don't know why they changed it. Was the original version too similar to a Jigsaw Trap or was it to make a darker version of Rorschach ( though, I think he is dark enough). Either way Rorschach deals out his form of justice but in the comic he gives Frank a chance to get out...

Proves that Watchmen can be a fantastic movie. 0

Alan Moore designed the original Watchmen comic to be unfilmable. Obviously film technology has come a long way since the 1980's, but even so, Watchmen would still prove to be a very difficult movie to make.  In case you didn't already know (if you don't then get off this website, it's not for you), Watchmen is the most critically acclaimed and arguably the best piece of comic art ever published. The source material is extremely unique and complex, and to make any kind of decent movie about it, ...

This Movie Is So Accurate To Comic, It's Like Reading The Comic 1

This movie is a instant classic. I was a great movie.  The storyline goes like this. A member of the Watchmen, the Comedian. Then a member of the Watchmen and probably the most savage member, Rorschach, goes and starts to search for the murderer of this person.   The characters of the films are very interesting.   The Comedian was a member of the Minutemen or the basically the original Watchmen. He is a savage assassin. When I say savage, he gets a kick from killing some one. His real name is Ed...

    Watchmen Movie 0

Okay, now I must have read this book about a hundred times since it first came out twenty years ago. First time was cover to cover devouring every word. I loved it. Each consecutive time I found myself reading around the extras like "The Black Freighter" and the novel by the original Night owl called "Under The Hood". So what I got from this Watchmen movie, was exactly what I loved about the book. I do not think they could have done a better job than they did on this movie. Up until Star Trek th...

    An Amazing Movie!!!! 0

I was little nervous checking out the film, but actually it is really great. I have not read the graphic novel, but I believe the movie did a good job. The cast was well done and story was very interesting and will leave you wondering what's going to happen. The costumes and effects were incredible and well done. The movie may have been long like people said, but i'm glad because it was worth it to see an incredible story that changed comics come to the big screen and was done very well. Overall...
