The Second Issue To A Great Comic

The storyline to this issue is basically the Comedian's funeral. Attending the funeral are three of the watchmen, Night Owl two, Dr. Manhattan, and Ozymandias( Another memeber of the watchmen) are attending the funeral. The three start to remember their time with the Comedian.

Dr, Manhattan remembers their time serving in the vietnam war. When the war is over and they have won, (Note to self there war was actually was fought but we didn't win. We didn't lose either. We back out cause we didn't want to get involved anymore) the Comedian and Dr. Manhattan are in the bar. Then a Vietnamese, pregnant women walks into the bar and starts talking. Then the Comedian basically tells her to F off. The vietnamese chick get mad and grabs a bottle, slams it against the corner on the bar and scrapes the Comedian face leaving behind a big scar. The Comedian then pulls out a pistol and shoots the women's stomach killing her. Dr. Manhattan is standing there speechless, Then the Comedian goes off looking for a medic.

Night Owl Two remembers a time when there was a riot happening and the Comedian is with him. The people in the riot start to throw bottles and stuff at them and the the Comedian jumps out of the vehicle and starts to blow away alot of the people in the riot.

Ozymandias remember a time when the Watchmen were at a meeting and the comedian was talking abunch of crap.

This is a great comic in the series and if you read the first issue, read the second issue. It is great.

In October of 1940, we see Hollis (as Nite Owl) paying a photographer for eight copies of the first (?) official photo of The Minutemen. In the excerpts, Hollis explains how he came up with the name and look for Nite Owl, his methods of fighting cri...

      A Bad Man Is A Hero 0

This issue focuses on The Comedian, with the backdrop of his funeral we see his interactions with the other heroes, and the depths his depravity and questionable mporals took him.   First Sally Jupiter and her daughter Laurie talk about the Comedian and her days with him in the Minute Men.  We  see the group discussing their place in the world with it going to war.The dialogue in this scene does a good job of creating real characters. As if real people decided to don masks and tights and fight ...
