razzatazz's Warlord of Mars: Dejah Thoris #14 - The Boora Witch Part 4 review

This issue features one of my least favourite of all comic book plots, where a person is mentally controlled and someone else figures it out and tells them to "fight through it."  It is almost a cliche that whenever anyone is mind controlled that they will be told this valuable piece of advice and usually after they have already done a bunch of bad stuff which they would never do anyway.  In this case it is all the politicking between Dejah and rival kingdoms and between her and her family.  The entire thing does not come off so well, and might have been more of a mess were it not for Kantos.  He is the featured hero here as he fights his way through a few different cases where he is outmatched and makes a hard decision that most wouldn't.  It all comes to the point in the end which the writer was after but the story arc suffered to get to this point.
