    Warriors Perspectives

    The Story:
A look into the lives of the many warriors who took part in the War Of Kings. These events happen prior to and during the war.

    My Thoughts:
There were so many different people who worked on this book which collects nine different issues that tie-in to the War Of Kings. Some of the more established writers are C.B. Cebulski, Christos N. Gage, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning.

The book begins with the first six issues centering around Darkhawk's character who is shortly accompanied by Talon who comes to explain and "guide" him in the way of the Raptor Armor. I must say I enjoyed this more than I thought I would have. Darkhawk has never been a character I ever gave thought too, but the writing in his issues was superb. I learned things about him I didn't know and the art in his issues was phenomenal.

The issue about a Shi'ar warrior and a Kree warrior teaming up on a doomed planet and coming face to face with Skaar was kind of boring. Skaar didn't really serve any purpose. It did nothing to progress the story as that was the only time he was seen in the entire War Of Kings story arc.

The issue about Gladiator was well written. We get to see an in-depth look into his history and learn about his people. The reason why he is so loyal to the Shi'ar empire is revealed.

The short story involving Crystal playing detective about a week before her wedding was fun. I'm glad we got to see more of her character. The way she was drawn in that issues was awesome as well as her dialogue as she plays peacekeeper.

The art is done by a handful of different artists who I won't begin to name. The combined efforts of everyone involved were excellent. The art is something I really enjoyed in this book. The coloring was amazing.

This is only necessary to read if you plan on reading War Of Kings. If you haven't read that then this wont make much sense to you. It ties into that story nicely delivering readers a more in-depth look into the warriors of the War Of Kings.

    Rating: 3.5/5
