    Where Did This Series Go?

When the art dropped out, so did the quality of this book. Splat. Done. Finished. Gawn. What? You don't understand? Okay, let me slow this down for you.

Pak's run on this series has had its ups and downs but it hasn't yet drifted into the "terrible" catagory until now. Why? Well his artist Leonardo Manco has been pretty good. Even if Pak's script is "sub-par" Manco usually has some pretty looking images to make up for the stupid story. Well guess what! Here, we have a suuuuuper stupid story with absolutely horrid artwork from a nobody artist.

Honestly, and this I found interesting, the flashback sequences which were intentionally done in a very un-descriptive and un-detailed art style were way more enjoyable than the regular artwork. If that isn't ironic then I don't know what is. Let's just put it... this story is bad and the art pulls it down in a big way.

But that's not to say that the story is good. Last issue had the same awful artist but I enjoyed issue #6 much more than I enjoyed this one because last issue had a half-descent story to go along with it. This story is just uninteresting none-sense. "Ooh look! Now War Machine is fighting in a giant robot suit that he made out of tank parts!"

    Bad, bad, bad.

Last issue had some cool flashbacks to Jim as a kid. They told us a lot about him as a character and it was very very fun to read. This issue took all that cool stuff and just blew this story into a totally stupid direction.

Poor book. I hope it gets good again. This series was awsome for a long time but now it's just a joke.

    Art - 4 out of 10
    Story - 6 out of 10
