Wow the comic books back then was so ridiculous!!!! lol Thank God the movie told this story in sort of a better fashion. I definitely love the fighting scene and long introduction here though. The bats kind of remind me of some batrangs. lol Anyway, @g_man I noticed you did some "ghetto" voice impression for Norman Osborn in the beginning there. XD Also awesome Stan Lee shirt too!

I'm always amazed by how well John Romita Sr.'s art holds up in these older books. And of course Osborn's favorite color is green. That's the color of money, or rather US currency. Ain't no orange money where I'm from. Very cool video. Another reminder of why Gobby is one of my all-time favorite Spider-Man villains. Keep the classics alive.

I started reading Spider-Man with issue #45, just 5 months after this issue came out, but I was soon buying back issues at used book stores and had #40, as well. I will always love Romita's run of the title, and it never seems dated. Loved your rendition of Norman's flashback with Harry and the origin of the Green Goblin. Very funny.

@iceslick: I think one should read them without expecting stuff we get today out of stories. In those days, comics were aimed at kids and young adults. Nowadays we get better plots and better dialogues coz most comics are aimed at adults. Teens these days are different as well, they know way more than the teens of those days due to the internet and what not. I can still enjoy the gold old stories. :)

Hey Gman, thanks for reviewing this one. That's one of my favourite covers ever. Looking forward to some more classics.
