Creator-Owned
In terms of quantity, it is much more common for characters to be creator-owned (or company-licensed) than owned by their publisher. However, in comics two of the biggest publishers worldwide (DC and Marvel) traditionally own all their characters. This page is meant to help distinguish characters that are owned by the creator from those owned by the publisher in cases where it's not immediately obvious.

Done.
Vertigo makes some of my favorite comics out there, love the maturity of the titles.
Anybody ever read The Filth by Morrison?
"I looked it up and here's two interesting articles regarding the future of Vertigo Comics...and more specifically the Vertigo Crime line...I'm guessing this going to be something like the Vertigo Voices, Vertigo Verité and Vertigo Visions "subimprints" of the past?Thought you already had info on that, i heard it months ago, after San Diego CC finished i think. Word is that Azzarello's next project may be something for the Vertigo Crime line, so i think we just have to sit back and wait, unfortunately.

Preacher lost my interest due to two reasons
1. Gratuitous profanity, I don't mind language but having it constantly plastered on every page just seemed pointless.
2. Terrible Art.
You're completely right. Vertigo comics is a breath of fresh air for those of us tired of the (often) Convoluted nature of the big two's comics continuity. I've heard similar complaints about long running titles like 100 Bullets.
- you have to have a taste for Ennis
- you have to have a taste for Vertigo
Posted first Nut of the Week blog...they'll always be visible on the "User Blogs" section on the Vertigo publisher page or you can just go to this account page

Sandman is a prime example of art that takes time to grow on you. And by the end you marvel at the majesty that it holds
"TwilightThunder said:I could use some 100 Bullets-mania... Being my favorite ongoing series and all..."Gotta sumbit tons of stuff so i can seize the 1st place on the VNU. Hurm."that's the spirit to have!
especially since those 100 Bullets character pages are practically blank...
