Vermin is quick witted as well as being very cynical. he is however very loyal to the gang. In the gang it is his job to with carry the tokens and money to the meeting.

Vermin in the Subway The Novel Vermin was originally in the novel Warriors written in 1965 by Sol Yurik
The Movie The charter of Vermin was in the movie played by Terry Michos and in an early script, he is shot and killed by the Lizzies, but in the finished script he survives the attack.
The Video Games The Video games were based more on the movie than the novel and used all the same characters. It also took them through the same scenes of the film.
