The Scarabs spring to mind.

TBH a lot of those characters you listed aren't much alike other than Maybe powers.

If you mean by powers then I don't think DC has one because he's a Spider-Man doppelganger and DC doesn't have a real Spider-Man analog. If you mean by role in the universe, then it's Zoom. Flash plays essentially the same role in the DC universe as Spider-Man plays at Marvel. Especially Wally West If Zoom is the inverse of Flash and Venom is the inverse of Spider-Man then Zoom=Venom.

I don't think there needs to be an equivalent, though. Characters can exist on their own without having a counterpart.

He has never really had one, and I'm speaking of Brock Venom as a villain. He's the opposite side of the coin that Spider-Man is on. He's everything Peter could have been had he not learned the lesson of power and responsibility from Uncle Ben.

The closest comparison, and it's a stretch, would likely be Bane...who in many ways is the opposite and equal of Batman in the way Brock was for Peter.

The IM/Steel and WW/Sif ones I think are reaches by OP. But yeah, those other ones are accurate. Why wouldn't they be? Do you know not understand what OP is getting at?

well he definitely isn't referring to their personalities. Just the concept character aspect. Speedster, archer, underwater guy, invulnerable powerhouse, etc...

I will say, I KINDA will retract me saying IM/Steel are reaches. I can see where OP is coming from on that - both are armored scientist geniuses. But I've always compared IM more to Bats that they are both public celebrity billionaire gadget users.

I dont think that list isnt correct in my oppinion. And i dont think it´s correct using parodies of same heroes as counterpart. In that case all Squadron Supreme would be in the list.

Yes Bane because they both peaked in the 90s then when they were brought to the big screen they were laughable and unnecessary and were only there to capitalize on their popularity and that film ended up wrecking the franchise until it could be rebooted again.

Bane is a skilled martial artist and strategist, who battled an addiction to venom, and grew up in prison.

Venom, as a symbiote, is an alien being, who grants users Spider wimp like powers. They're nothing alike.

I'd say he's more akin to Blue Beetle if it's just powers, like the OP was talking about.

Depends on how you consider the 'opposite' to be, like it could be any of these

• Starro; celestial parasite that latches onto a host and try to dominate it.
• Bane, for being of the same strain of 90'ties hulk-sized villains who were also darker versions of the hero they opposed
• Bloodlines, same as Starro

I wanna personally say Creeper. Maybe more so for Toxin because they're both good guys but I know Venom was a hero/anti-hero quite a lot and is now agent venom, a total hero. Creeper has similar wall climbing powers, super durability, strength and speed about the same as venom and is a creepy phycotic looking demon like being...but for Creeper he's just misunderstood. I believe creeper is a bad guy for a little in the New 52 so there you have 2 characters that fluctuate between good and bad and have superhuman physiology but not through scientific terms but mostly through some sort of "being inside a host" kinda thing. Doesn't creeper also have like a cape-cloak like thing that's alive and can wrap up victims and acts as like prehensile arms?

@nickjspresley: NOOOOOOOOO Black Panther just looks like him when he wears a cape which Im glad they got rid of his real counterpart is Spider-Man as they are the same but different, bruce has billions of mula and pete is broke mostly Bats despite a no killing rule goes beyond the law on accasion where as Spider-Man may prefer not to kill but wont make it his mission to spare a supervillian they are similar to the extent they both lost their parents tho bruce wachted his gunned down and pete did not and they both go beyond the law too even when he isn't donnin the black suit pete can too go all violent and in the movie and some versions of the comics he killed his uncle bens killer yes u may say he never meant to in the movie but he had intent or he wud of just webbed him and left him for the popo

He grew more powerfull and powerfull the more speedforce he got, Though he didn't control himself at a stable rate his powers was yet to be controlled by Daniel West, Which is very much like Venom, Since Flash/Spiderman one more thing Daniel West's Speedforce very much works like a virus that tries to take over Daniel West's Action

I can agree with Bane.

Well in a broader sense, seeing how Venom is usually portrayed as a darker version of Spider-Man, there are several characters who could fit here like Zod or the Reverse Flash for example. Can't really think of a character that is close in terms of appearance or powers though.
