    Symbiote battle royal Pt. 4

The final, jaw dropping issue in the short lived, but forever remembered series, Venom-Carnage! This series was incredible. Putting two Spider-man arch enemies against one another in pitched combat, throwing in some guest appearances by the wall crawler himself along with Blackcat, and introducing an whole new symbiote clad character, Toxin!

Following the bank heist left in issue three, Toxin contemplates actually killing the robbers. He gains control over the urge to deal out Punisher justice so to speak, and decides to turn them over to the proper authorities.Spider-man sees this action, and guess that the new symbiote is a good guy. Later on, Patrick is invited to the funeral of the deceased artist who fell prey to Carnage. Venom and his sociopath offspring Carnage wrecks the ceremony and attack Toxin and Blackcat. Patrick morphs into his symbiote alter ego and begins the slamfest for the century. Spider-man shows up to join the party and then the whole thing goes down south, literally, as the brawlers fall into a crypt. They continue to fight, until Toxins true potential manifests, becoming larger and more muscular than Venom on roids! He beats the snot out of both symbiotes, sending them packing. He then calms down while Spider-man has an uncle tom speech to lighten Patricks mood about being a hero with a dark side. After returning home, he sits to talk to his child, who is sucking on the thumb of a corpse. Frightened that he must of brung the appendage home from the cemetary, Patrick realizes that he can't live aound his family while playing host to another life form. He then decides to leave Gena, believing it to be for the better.

A spectacular finale woven by Peter Milligan, also the best artwork I've seen out of Crain throughout the entire series. The cover is what struck me as awesome though, being Toxin in his more monstrous form, all symbiotic and what, with a half and half, Venom/Carnage face profile in the background. Pure excellents, in every way possible. A five in my book! So, go read it! As always, enjoy, and nice readings.
