    Symbiote battle royal!

Mid 2000's, Marvel launched one of my favorite titles, Venom-Carnage, and I was all over it. Venom,( the original Eddie Brock), being my favorite Marvel character, and Carnage, being the psychotic mass murderer he is, this title had everything I wanted and more! Being only four parts long, it's sort of a downer for die hard Venom fans like my self, but makes it so much sweeter to own all four parts.

The story starts off with Venom and Carnage duking it out. Venom is trying to convince Carnage to accept the fact that he's having a child. That's right, a new symbiote! Carnage hates the idea, believing that the child when grown, may be to much to handle and try to do away with it's predecessor. While in an art mueum, Felicia Hardey is checking out some exhibits. An explosion then detonates beneath the museum, Carnage has just spawned the new symbiote. Feeling to weak after the birthing, he retreats, vowing to an on looking officer that he will find him, and he will kill his offspring, who has tooken refuge within the cop, unbeknownst to him. Later, the officer returns home to his pregnant wife, only to be attacked by Venom, who claims to be there to protect him. Spider-man intervenes to stop Venom, and then explains that the cop, Patrick Mulligan, is the unwitting host of the new symbiote. Patrick and his wife flee, only to run into Carnage, who throws Gena down the stairs, and then abducts Patrick. Spider-man saves Gena, only to realize that she's going into labor, and that he has to get her to a hospital, while Carnage prepares to kill his new child, and the host along with it.

Wow. A perfect story spun by Peter Milligan. Also, the artwork done by Clayton Crain, one of my favorite artist, is awesome, plus his terrific job on the cover. This title came out around the time the last Venom series was coming to a close, and being the huge Venom fan that I am, I had to have it! So, it gains a five in my book, for it terrific story, artwork, cover, everything was perfect. So, go out there and decide for yourself if it's perfect, and enjoy. As always, nice readings.
