God Is Coming
The new chapter in the Venom saga continues! After our hero was badly battered in the first issue, we begin with an exquisitely drawn sequence that shows the symbiote healing Brock on an unprecedented level. I have to say, it was hard for this issue to reach a bar that was set so high by the first issue, so it did lose a star for feeling a bit uneven. Vietnam flashbacks and Eddie's surreal tortured sequences were fine, but I personally wanted a little more action. The monstrous symbiote that appears at the end is cool and there is a surprise guest at the end of you didnt already read the character list on this wiki. Not being a fan of that character meant the gravitas of that moment was lost on me. These are minor gripes however and this is definitely a series I'll continue to buy.
