Back on track.
After what I felt were a few so-so months, this issue brought me back 100% to this title. It's basically Moony's rumination's on his place in the Secret Avengers, and whether or not he belongs on the team, and just how the team functions in general. All told, it's a pretty solid piece of business. Ryp, the artist, manages to pack a TON of action onto a page. I'm not a huge fan of how he draws people, but the way he manages to squeeze a ton of stuff and have it all make sense is amazing. Hurwitz's script is pretty tight, as well. It's an action heavy issue, but Moon Knight's inner monologue gives a ton of great insight into his character, and how he views the world he's kinda thrust into. The only problem I have is Valkyrie's inclusion on the team at all. "Big viking woman on a winged horse" kinda kills the whole stealth motif the team tries to have going on. Overall, though, great art, great action, it serves to build the character in a very positive direction. No major problems aside from a few artistic quibbles with some characters, and Valkyrie pull it down a bit, but this is a sure step in a positive direction.
