    One thousand years before the Battle of Yavin, the Valley of the Jedi was the location of the last battle of the New Sith Wars.  Lord Kaan's thought bomb trapped over one hundred Jedi and Sith souls, until Inquisitor Jerec invaded the valley with Imperial forces to use the power located there for himself.  Kyle Katarn then successfully defeated Jerec and released the trapped souls held within the site. The Valley is what is known as a Force Nexus and is believed to be the most powerful Force Nexus in the galaxy.
