Valiant/Acclaim
Valiant Comics began as an imprint of Voyager Communications, established in 1989 in part by former Marvel editor-in-chief Jim Shooter. It was discontinued in 1996 after being bought out by Acclaim Entertainment. After Acclaim closed its doors in 2004, the publisher was revived as Valiant Entertainment and has been publishing new material since May 2012.

@allstarsuperman: How?
Huge sale on X-O Manowar going on now at Comixology. Sale on the current series, the 1992 series, and the 1996 series. Great time to pick up the new series if you have not yet as it is fantastic. Could buy the first 33 issues in a bundle for $26 so you are only paying $0.79 an issue, or you could pick up individual issues for $0.99 each. The sale ends Thursday. I might pick up some of the '92 series and see how that is. I read the first 25 issues of the original Harbinger and really enjoyed it.
This July, Valiant cordially invites you to the most momentous event of the summer…THE WEDDING OF X-O MANOWAR!

Join New York Times best-selling writer Robert Venditti (ARMOR HUNTERS, Green Lantern) and red-hot artist Rafa Sandoval (Ultimate Hawkeye) this July to stand and witness the biggest, brashest wedding celebration of the year as Valiant's alien armored Visigoth takes the epic next step in his evolution as a king and hero!
Aric of Dacia nearly died in battle against the Armor Hunters, and watched a world end at the hands of Dead Hand. And, last but not least, Eisner Award nominee Andy Runtom (Owly) returns to X-O Manowar for another chapter of Owly's adventures with Aric's all-powerful armor, Shanhara!

@jonny_anonymous: that's awesome. I just hope that they aren't setting this up just to kill her shortly down the road.
@cap10nate: Well....
@jonny_anonymous: Of course. No happiness is allowed.
@cap10nate: Well knowing Venditti and Valiant I'm sure they will subvert the tropes
@jonny_anonymous: I sure hope so. This has been a tremendous run so far. I hope Vendetti stays on the book for a while.
@shadowswordmaster: I love everything
@shadowswordmaster: Valiant is pretty cool. Some of my favorite characters are Gilad, Bloodshot, Harada, Ivar Timewalker, among others.
@_braveheart_: @jonny_anonymous: Now what about the mini series The Valiant?
@shadowswordmaster: I really liked it, set's up a lot of interesting stuff going forward. Not sure why AllStar wasn't a fan.
@jonny_anonymous: I think it could of been better in a few places to be honest.
@shadowswordmaster: What parts didn't you like?
Also it looks like everybody is going to die in Book of Death
@jonny_anonymous:I think it was the parts with Gilad and the big fight with Eternal Enemy.
Here’s a news recap of the Wondercon 2015 Valiant panel. There is an image gallery below of the panel as well.
The Eternal Emporor from the second arc of the cancelled Eternal Warrior ongoing series will return in the second arc of Ivar, Timewalker. It will also reunite the Anni-Padda brothers but from multiple timeliens.
There were some images from Divinity #3 released at the panel…not only do they look amazing, but it really has us thinking about what’s coming next…the series looks like it will be kicking it up SEVERAL notches with the next issue.
The Ninjak ongoing moves across three different timelines which will converge further down the series. This is information we received from Warren Simmons as well a few weeks ago in our interview with him. The main story deals with Ninjak tracking down the seven greatest shadow agents ever.
Some images were revealed of Scot Eaton’s work on Imperium as well as the following quote: “A dictator. A alien assassin. A killer robot. A super powered terrorist. & someone we can’t talk about yet.” Who could it be!?
Bloodshot Reborn is going to be a key book for Valiant going forward and 29 issues have already been planned out. Jeff Lemire did hint to this in his interview with us so be sure to catch that! Lemire will also be doing art for the series but that art hasn’t been revealed for a good reason.
The Book of Death will teasers look epic, with images from Harbinger, Bloodshot, X-O Manowar and Ninjak facing death (and we thought dead means dead?).
The event will center upon the new Geomancer as seen in The Valiant #4.
The final chapter of Harbinger will be revealed in the Book of Death (Peter vs. Harada).
Bob Layton will be doing some work for the 25th anniversary Valiant stuff (via CRB.
@shadowswordmaster: @xwraith: I think the end was the best part of the book.
@jonny_anonymous: I'm interested in how long Imperium is going to last?
@shadowswordmaster: Well it's an ongoing so it should be a while, why?
@jonny_anonymous: I think it just how I read the Harbinger but I think I was just having a dumb moment there.
@shadowswordmaster: lol what do you mean?
@jonny_anonymous: I just have a bad feeling but I think Harada is going to kill Peter.
@shadowswordmaster: @jonny_anonymous: Finally got around to rereading the Valiant 4.........
The immortal Enemy can tank everything then entire Valiant universe can throw at him in 3, but Bloodshot was downing him with a handgun in 4. What the literal f#ck?
All Gilad does in Unity is talk. And in the Valiant 4 he acts like an idiot who just wants to fight. These stories have the same writer. Again, what the literal f#ck? Oh yeah, and Ninjak was the voice of reason. Wtf! Yeah that same ninjak that got a hundred innocents killed in Unity.
Not to mention the story ends with literally everyone in the Valiant Universe being a failure. Wtf was Valiant thinking? Can you imaging if DC heroes just lost Infinite Crisis or Blackest Night? Its just stupid.
Kay was a wasted character. She was in all of 2 arcs. They didn't know what to do so they killed her for a plot device for Bloodshot. Its ridiculous.
And now Gilad is tied down to protect a kid (which could be interesting) but Valiant f#cking hates him so you know he's gonna get that kid killed.
My favorite Valiant character, The Eternally Passive Failure.
@allstarsuperman: That issue was one of the most disappointing endings to a comic I've ever read.
Hoping Book of Death is better.
@xwraith: thank you. Some of my friends on here ate it up just cause Lemires name was on it.
@jonny_anonymous: You want proof Valiant hates Gilad? XO manowar didn't even invite him to his wedding.
@allstarsuperman: Oh yeah? Whos this then?
@allstarsuperman: He was the reason I picked it up, but I remember you telling me that he actually didn't do much. And the first issue of Bloodshot Reborn was a lot better.
@jonny_anonymous: Yes cause Gilad an old mentor and friend doesn't deserve to even be on the cover. Those f*cling children and f#cking quantom and woody are much more important.
Edit: F*CKING SERIOUSLY. Aric has never even met Dr Mirage and he met Bloodshot for a few seconds in Armor Hunters, but they are more important then Gilad.
@xwraith: Bloodshot reborn was awesome. But yeah Lemire only put in any effort in Valiant to further set up his own book.
@allstarsuperman: calm yourself....
@jonny_anonymous: lol, I'll calm myself when Valiant stops sh!tting on my favorite character.
@longbowhunter: @xwraith: @cap10nate: @_braveheart_: @legendary_starhero: @allstarsuperman: New Eternal Warrior book
@jonny_anonymous: That is great news. Also looks like a new Harbinger is coming as well. Definitely looking forward to that. I just wish Kris wasn't involved. I am not a fan of her incarnation in the new universe.
@cap10nate: And a new Archer & Armstrong
@jonny_anonymous: do we know who the writer is?
@allstarsuperman: Nope not yet, the cover is by Butch Guice but not sure if he will actually be on art.
@jonny_anonymous: Guice? That's cool I like his Ninjak work. Also An old EW artist was Jackson Guice, he was pretty good.
@allstarsuperman: They're the same person.
@allstarsuperman: Whoops the cover is Cary Nord not Guice.
@xwraith: no.......their artwork is completely different looking....
@jonny_anonymous: I was hoping they'd give him another book. He's got a purpose in guiding and protecting the new Geomancer. I think this new series will be less meandering than the last.
