Valiant needs your help! They're having a huge sale coming up on Comixology on January 14th and have to pick out books to be a part of their sale. There's no better way to do this than to ask the fans. So Valiant asked us to ask you folks what modern era Valiant issues are your favorites.

With three all-new jumping-on points launching in January under the MUST READ VALIANT banner and the MUST READ VALIANT: GREATEST HITS #1 compendium hitting shelves, Valiant and comiXology want to know: what are your five favorite Valiant comic books of the modern era?

From today through January 7th, visit Comic Vine to cast your vote for your five favorite Valiant single issues. Do you include the landmark debut of Valiant's flagsip hero in X-O Manowar #1? The tortuous life story of omega-level telekinetic Toyo Harada retold in Harbinger #0? Jack Boniface's blackest depths revealed in Shadowman #13?

There's quite a bit to choose from here, but we have you covered. Currently, these series make up the Valiant universe: ARCHER & ARMSTRONG, BLOODSHOT, BLOODSHOT & H.A.R.D. CORPS, ETERNAL WARRIOR, HARBINGER, HARBINGER WARS (mini-series), QUANTUM & WOODY, SHADOWMAN, UNITY, and X-O MANOWAR. If you can't remember the specific issue, click the links to head out to that volume's wiki-section in order to help you remember what issue was your favorite.

Your only task is to let us know in the comment section below what your top five issues from Valiant are. We'll keep the post open until January 7th and after that, the votes will be tallied and the top books will be a part of ComiXology's Must Read Valiant 99 cent sale starting on January 14th!

Also on sale will be MUST READ VALIANT: GREATEST HITS #1 which is a 112 page collection of single issue stories and awesome moments from books in the Valiant universe! For those new to Valiant or interested in picking up some new books, there's three new jumping on points in January: Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps #18 ("Get Some" – Part 1), Harbinger #20 ("Resistance" – Part 1) and Eternal Warrior #5 ("Eternal Emperor" – Part 1).

So, it's time to let Valiant, Comixology, and us know, what are your top five Valiant issues?

Hard to narrow it down to 5 but I think X-O, Harbinger, and the two big stories from the past year would be a good entry to the Valiant Universe and people can branch out from there. Valiant is producing great books and I hope a lot of people take advantage of this sale.

It's really great, I was enjoying what JJ was doing but towards the end it was kind of lacking something but with Milligan on it now it's really gloomy and fantastic.

This is where Marvel and DC should take notes.

    1. Harbinger Wars #4. This issue was amazing, so much going on.

    2. Harbinger #5

    3. Unity #2

    4. Harbinger #2

    5. Archer and Armstrong #9

Like somebody else said before, i really think that Harbinger and X-O Manowar are the main entries into Valiant universe. Along with Unity and Harbinger Wars. I didn't put any Manowar issue because i can't get into it, but i can see how people really like it.

    Keep it up Valiant!

    Quantum and Woody #3

    Quantum and Woody #4

BUT, I want to vote for the first 5 issues of Bloodshot since the sale will give me a reason to try the series.

This is awesome!!! I hope the launch titles of Valiant's modern era are what wins. After many MANY great reviews from critics and friends, I've really wanted to dive in to their new universe, but the large number of issues and high price point has kept me away for sampling.

I vote for the earliest arcs of, if these win, I will definitely be buying all of them:
    X-O Manowar
    Harbringer
    Bloodshot
    Archer & Armstrong

I made an account just to do this. Valiant is by far my favorite publisher. I've bought every issue of all 8 series.

Unity 1 - It doesn't get much more important than this. The modern-era's first team book, and the first "all-stars" JL/Avengers book they've done. Come for the top class characters, creative team, and Matt Kindt writing Ninjak, stay for the promise of big things to come for the line as a whole.

Harbinger Wars 4 - Sure, it helps to have read the previous three issues, but this madcap, high octane issue is a good example of what Valiant does best: making not just "good" and "evil" relative terms, but making "protagonist" and "antagonist" relative terms.

Archer and Armstrong 1 - Probably Valiant's strongest first issue, all you gotta do is start here and keep reading. A top 3 book on the market.

Harbinger 5 - Speaking of that good and evil blur, while Toyo Harada is a sympathetic figure across the Valiant line, it's issue 5 where I started to personally cheer for Peter Stanchek to put Harada down in the dirt.

Bloodshot and HARD Corp 14 - How do you take your line's weakest book and turn it into one of your greatest strengths? Add fan favorite writer Christos Gage and the denizens of the HARD Corp to your book. One of the best titles on the stands after just four issues, B&HC is yet another example of Valiant's line-wide philosophy of blurring that line of good and evil and alliances and grudges being only temporary.

    Harbinger #9without question.

Faith "Zephyr" Herbert is one of the most important characters in comics today, and this issue is the perfect showcase for her.

She is a brave, thoughtful, and joyful soul, who has been inspired by the same comics, films, and sci-fi shows that we all know and love.
Faith represents the best aspects of what we can all be if we follow our hearts.

And, of course, it's wonderful to have a lead superheroine, who is not just another thin woman with an hourglass waist. Faith is beautiful because she's unique.
