If you're reading X-O MANOWAR (shame on you if you're not), then odds are you're fully aware of how awesome Ninjak truly is. But if you're a new reader to the Valiant universe (just like me), then odds are you're curious about the adventures these characters had before the stellar reboot. Thankfully, Valiant has the answer: a hardcover made just for the amazing assassin.

Coming out February 27th, Valiant Masters: Ninjak Vol. 1 - Black Water will collect #1-6, #0 and #00 of the 1994 series. Written by Mark Moretti and including art from Joe Quesada and Mark Moretti, the collection will cost $24.99. Below is Valiant's summary of the hardcover and a solid 5 page preview for your viewing pleasure.

Colin King — sophisticated British playboy by day, elite super-spy by night! Codenamed Ninjak, King is gifted with a brilliant mind and lethal training in the world's most dangerous fighting techniques. Both will be put to the ultimate test as he is drawn into a globe-spanning mission to apprehend Dr. Silk, mastermind of the WEBNET terror network, before the mysterious weapon known as "Black Water" goes online. From the British Isles to the land of the Rising Sun, Ninjak will leave an indelible imprint on the Valiant Universe — or die trying.

Could bringing Ninjak back into the spotlight mean the skilled spy has a new ongoing in the works? I certainly hope so. Viners, will you be picking this up and would you also want to see a Ninjak ongoing?

Valiant needs to do this for a lot of characters that we remember from the 1990s. Like for instance, I doubt anyone who's into Valiant with the current slate of books knows who the H.A.R.D. Corps or the Armorines are. Sure, I can give the references there, but unless they are read it he old books people just aren't going to know enough. Hopefully the Ninjak HC is the start of a HC trend.
