In a four-planet system, Valérian and Laureline jump from one world to the other to congratulate settlers there. But the entire colony is under threat of collision with an errant planet rushing madly into space. As they approach the planet, they discover that it's a hollow planet whose inhabitants live inside the crust, the core acting as their sun.
