X-ing out the Avengers.
The Good: This issue was pretty good. It showed that the X-men are starting to own up to that claim about being Earth's mightiest team. With Cyclops staring down Celestials and the people showing fear but what seemed like a respectful kind of fear instead a hateful fear to me shows that things are starting to look up for the team. The artwork was great, the whole concept behind the issues so far have been surprisingly good since coming off of how bad Schism was.
The Bad: The Sinister Species just was kind of there and didn't seem like that big of a deal. It was just Sinister talking and getting shot. I think it is setting up for something bigger perhaps down the road, but for now I expected something bigger or maybe a bigger fight.
Recommended: Yes, I have complete faith in Gillen right now, he is having Scott shed some of that tough exterior, making Emma a strong woman again and even playing with Colossus' "issue". I am excited to see where he carries this.
