    Cannot absolve you

After the last issue which through me, the unfamiliar reader, into a story deeply surrounding Fantomex did not lead to the best comic reading experience.  Here though the writers have turned things around and with the provision of a little bit of detail in relation to the back story this issue really takes off.  Well it does and it doesn't.  The first bit is a well executed bit of action but it is action without meaning, meant to look visually impressive while not adding much to the story.  As soon as the story gets back to the team and shows Betsy with her brother there is a deeper element involved here (especially in the moments immediately following this meeting when her actions are given greater depth.)  Once the team assembles and goes to rescue Fantomex the issue comes together and gives a bit more meaning to the action at the front while demonstrating some of the hypocrisy of the character.  Overall, a pretty good issue.

The pacing is perfect...
