And I Bet You Thought Apoc Was Dead! 10

I have been consistently blown away by how phenomenal every new issue of Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force has been, but this issue takes the cake. The GoodSacrifices, compromises, preemptive strikes and love triangles are all eloquently intermingled in issue #10 of Uncanny X-Force. If you thought the last nine issues of Rick Remender's series have been good, then you should be prepared to have your mind blown in issue 10. Without giving too much away, Warren is slowly losing control of himself as...

A Great Set Up 2

The final issue of Uncanny X-Force before "The Dark Angel Saga" begins dosn't dissapoint at all.  After the Shadow King gives a reporter at Warren's paper a video of Warren mercilessly killing the solider from Issue #8, Warren takes matters into his own hands, which dosn't bode well with the rest of X-Force.  That's really only the first half of the issue but it's pretty awesome on it's own.  The second half of the story explains everything that has been happening in this book dealing with Wa...

Age of X-Force 0

As far as I'm concerned, that's exactly what the X Franchise is right now, the Age of X-Force.  Oh there might be vampires painfully inserted into the franchise, another dystopian present where mutants are hunted to extinction (which is pretty much the same as the 616 universe.  The X-Men are really bad at their job, huh?) and some schism thing where people stand around wondering how the hell Cyclops became leader.  But that's window dressing.  If the entire rest of the X-line is McDonalds, then...

The battle within. 0

Uncanny X-force #10 First off I'd like to say that Remender does a great job with character inner conflict. I thought it was shown perfectly through Angel. It looks like Uncanny X-force could be ousted to the public eye! People have found out about the mind controlled man Angel killed. When Angel gets word of this he goes and threatens the man who's going to publicize it. It's not Angel though it's Archangel threatening him. Wolverine and Psylocke go to stop him and they successfully subdue him....

When you bargain with the Devil 0

From the beginning of this series, Remender planted a bone of contention, that is the disagreement between Logan and Warren on how to run this team, then the writer slowly pointed out that Warren was getting more and more dominated by the evil of the Archangel and now, after this issue, things will never be the same for this group, since the breaking point has been reached and a tough decision was made in order to save Warren´s life - I liked this issue, mostly because of Logan´s fight with Warr...

Darkness Rising 0

THE GOODThe art and writing are exactly what I have come to expect from the creative team(s) assigned to this book. As this is the transition book between arcs, we get a good amount of consequence from the previous arc combined with a well conceived setup for the next arc. This issue really did a great job of showing the struggle Angel is enduring. The best part is, we get to not only see his inner torment, but how it manifests itself on the outside as well.Realizing the Angel can no longer be tr...
