Marvel announced today that in January UNCANNY AVENGERS will return with an all new roster and the same creative team. ComicBook.com had the exclusive look at this new title which will have Rick Remender writer and will feature Daniel Acuña on art.

The events of the current UNCANNY AVENGERS book have been the catalyst for the current AXIS story line where Red Skull and Onslaught have merged and caused a ton of havoc in the Marvel universe. This new book, spinning out of that event, will feature the team of Scarlet Witch, Rogue, Captain America (Sam Wilson), Quicksilver, Brother Voodoo, Vision, and Sabretooth.

What we don't know is if the inversion is still in effect and who is still affected by it. Is Sabretooth still inverted or has he turned a new leaf? Better yet, what if everyone is still affected by it? In addition, the solicit states that one of the Avengers oldest foes returns with a terrible secret. In the past, the Avengers have dealt with plenty bad guys, including their first adventure against Loki. Who will it be?

Below, you'll find the solicit and additional covers for the upcoming series in January, including the "No More Mutants" one. That phrase was teased at New York Comic Con.

So we're looking at the High Evolutionary then, I'd presume.

And watch as the "terrible secret" is "Wanda, Pietro, you guys aren't actually mutants. Like how Graydon Creed wasn't a mutant despite his parentage."

This looks good but I can't see why they relaunched it. Can't they just simply have series reach large number issues?

Love Remenders stuff so I'm up for this. So, we lose Havok, Wasp and Sunfire. The new additions look interesting though and are a nice mix. Kind of hope Vision will mean a return to the Descendants storyline.

Also, this line up means Sam is now on three books. This one, Captain America and Mighty Avengers. So, lots of exposure there. Curious what old villain is returning... the name Counter Earth makes me also think of High Evolutionary which could be interesting. Don't think I had seen a consistent cool run on him in a while so hoping that changes for this great Kirby creation.

Anyway, looking forward to this new line up and hope Marvel does rebrand it again. I get why they are doing it but I would like a book with a nice long run.

He's a favorite character of Rick Remender. Several years back he wrote a Voodoo miniseries.

Maybe they add Havok to one of the x-men books post AXIS i was really liking him in uncanny too.

Glad to hear Remender and Acuna are still doing Uncanny Avengers. I was a big fan of the last volume. Really digging the additions to the roster; Vision, Brother Voodoo and Quicksilver (hate the new costume).

Oh hey QuicksIlver and The Vision are in the Avengers now how surprising....

Remender is supposed to be writing an Astonishing Avengers book too. I'm betting Alex will show up there.

Their Avenger rosters are getting more interesting.

I really dig Uncanny Avengers, I really like what Remender's done with it so far, and I love Acuna's art.

and having most of these new members join sounds awesome; I love Quicksilver, Vision, and Falcon, and I've always thought Brother Voodoo was cool.

But having Sabertooth on the Avengers just seems like a waste of a good villain. And not a good fit for the Avengers.

@longbowhunter: Cool. I might have to check that out as well (if it's actually happening). Splitting the Unity Squad into two different books could be pretty interesting. With New Warriors and Hawkeye about to end, this definitely has a place on my pull list. Lets just hope the first arc is better than the current volume's.

@earthsmightiest: I'm telling you. They will do a reboot of some sort, and move the mutants off on to their own little 'verse. Then make the Inhumans the mutants of the regular MU, to go along with the MCU.

Vision & Quicksilver have great new looks. Sad to see Havok & Sunfire go though. I've been loving this series so far but I haven't started Axis yet. As for Brother Vodoo and Sabretooth, never really cared for either character but I trust Remender because I didn't care for Sunfire until Uncanny Avengers

@longbowhunter: I was almost dropped the book because of how much I disliked that arc. Thankfully the book got so much better right after that 4th issue so I kept with it.

Oh, I'm sure that's the impetus behind the decision, but they have an extremely long history with the team, so it's not entirely out of the butt.

So the solicitations suggest that they're no longer bothering to treat it as a X-men/Avengers team, which was the original concept.

Either way, seems like a way to ease back into UA, although it'll be weird without Havok, considering he was often the main focus of the book.

Quicksilver's new costume is amazing... no it's astonishing!

Wanda's new outfit is also a huge upgrade over the 1600's nun look she has how.

Brother Voodoo is the worst and should go back into limbo forever or die.

I guess it's pretty much confirmed Sabertooth is the new Wolverine.

I wish Polaris took Wanda up on her offer and joined this team.

So I'm guessing Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are Inhumans, since they are literally right in front of the NO MORE MUTANTS heading and are not mutants in the MCU. I know they want the rights back to things, but they're mucking up their own comics in the process.

Wonder Man might join the team, once they pull him out of Rouge that is.

Why does QS need goggles? It was stupid in DOFP and it looks stupid here.

Hell I did drop it. The next two or three issue got enough good reviews I picked it back up. Once Daniel Acuna came onboard the book seemed to find it's footing. Without him I probably wouldn't bother reading the upcoming volume.

Agh I'm on board but was a new #1 really necessary. Someone needs to tell Marvel that the people watching the movies don't read. Not cause they don't want to, it's cause they can't.
