    Unanny Remender Returns! 1

Its a bit of an understatement to say there is some fallout after the events of Avengers vs X-men, you could even say that it was a disaster for Mutants and has put them into a position not unlike their counterparts in the Ultimate universe. Professor X is gone for good this time, Cyclops sits in a cell proclaiming himself the savior of Mutants everywhere and i guess in some aspects he is right, but the world now fears mutantkind again and this has not escaped the attention of Captain America wh...

An Operation, a Funeral and a Earthquake 0

First off this was a good first issue. It introduces the players in the new series and gave us a taste of what is to come. The writing and artwork are solid and the events of the issue are well paced giving the issue a good flow throughout. One thing is clear is that Rick Remender and John Cassidy have brought their A game to this title and the quality should only get better as they settle into the characters more. From the beginning this issue we know something is going on when we see someone ma...

    The Goat-Faced Girl?! 0

Synopsis: In this issue, we see Charles Xavier`s funeral and the new enemy; Red Skull who has Professor X`s brain. Yeah... pretty creepy. It looks like he has assembled a new group of super villains (The Goat-Faced Girl, the Insect, etc, but I was mostly fascinated with Avalanche. He looked extremely badass in this comic!)The Good: The best parts in this issue, no doubt at all, were the Avalanche appearances. He just massacred half the city, while Thor and Havok were saving the poor innocents. A...

    New Era 0

After checking out Marvel's first Marvel Now! title, it is truly visible that the company is ushering in bold new ideas. Uncanny Avengers does indeed live up to its promise of meshing Avengers and X-men together. Cap is definitely feeling somewhat responsible for the AVX event and this is his way of reaching out to mutants. Havok is an interesting choice for team leader and I praise Remender's use of a character that has been out of the spotlight for years. Some parts of the issue work well (Rog...

    X-men take the blame 1

I was one of the many people who was excited to buy this issue when i first saw the idea. After all, i love Havok, Rogue, and Scarlet Witch. It brings up a great question. Why aren't more x-men involved with the avengers? Simple question, great way to bring about a new team and story line.Breakdown: Aftermath of big war between Avengers and X-men. An icon and messiah figure for mutant-kind, Charles Xavier, is dead and being honored at his funeral. Captain America wonders if he did enough for mut...

    Uncanny Avengers NOW! 0

You have already read the plot summary when you clicked on this page or from the previews. So lets just get to the point.GOOD: God damn i love Cassaday's art. His colors are so vibrant and detailed and his characters look astonishing. I also am looking forward to see Havok in this series. He has much potential, and i am seeing how Reminder can tackle his positioning into the role of leadership. I really dig the premise for the first story arc for this series- Red Skull planing to eradicate the m...

    To Harvest an Empire 0

Recommendation: “Yeah, you are not gonna want to miss the foundation started here.”First off. How many variant covers do we need? Seriously.AND, a 1:300? Come on. AND a variant of a variant only eligible if your story throws a party? I get the Deadpool thing, but, “Call Me, Maybe?” - NOOOOOO!This is quite some initiation we have going on here. All for a book that didn’t blow me away. Sure. I gave it a 4.0 / 5.0 - seems to be the average for this book based on other ratings, but still, I was EXPE...

Dawning of a New Era 4

First issue of the new series coming out of Avengers Vs. X-Men, and is the first issue to be released from the Marvel NOW! concept. I was really looking forward to this series as it made AvX feel more meaningful, and the idea of an Avengers team consisting of both Avengers, and X-Men, especially with everything that went down in AvX, I was very intrigued.PlotThis issue sees Wolverine remembering Professor X and talking at his funeral. Meanwhile Havok (Alex Summers) goes to visit his brother Cycl...

    Corporate Merger 0

Not a bad start for the series. Havok and Scarlet Witch are the subjects of most characterization in the book. John Cassaday's pencils are pretty awesome, and the Red Skull's plan is... ew! About those 18 variant covers... a little over the top? Please check my mini-review of Uncanny Avengers #1 here:http://bit.ly/Qi4JrDComments and feedback are always welcome!...

    Great Start 0

In all honesty, I haven't been keeping up on Avengers vs. X-Men. I know what happens from reading about it online, but I haven't bought any of the issues since issue 7. I felt that the series was too focused on the fights, and not the story. But man am I thankful for this issue. It filled in all the gaps about AVX that I didn't know. It really is a good place to start reading. Plus, I loved the villain reveal on the last page!...

    Team Uncanny 0

Yes, I sided with the X-men. Cyclops, Iceman, and Colossus are bad@$$, Emma is pretty, and Namor joining was quite fitting. I like them, they were the underdogs, and their moral standpoint made more sense to me.So onto this comic, Captain America is forming a team of avengers and x-men to "set an example of cooperation" between mutants and humans.Good--First off, Marvel Now isn't a reboot. I wasn't sure if it would be, and i apologize if they announced it, I don't really follow marvel any more b...

    Marvel Now! Begins. 0

This review is slightly longer since there's a lot I wanted to talk about. The GoodThis issue starts off with something incredily creepy seriously this issue starts and ends on a gruesome note it's an interesting way to start off an issue its an interesting way to start off an issue. This issue also has the funeral of Charles Xavier and it's really good the dialogue is perfect and the way it's done is great what is said truly feels like Wolverine's saying it from his heart. Now I haven't read con...

    Better Than Expected 0

Here it is, the culmination of what AvX was leading to. A team built by Captain America to represent both sides of the conflict and work together to achieve at least some of what Charles Xavier dreamed. I was honestly shocked by the book. I thought it would be horrible considering the sort of gimmick expected with that kind of situation but no, it was a decent read. It was well written and the merging of the 2 teams makes perfect sense considering some of the things said in the issue. I won't de...

Red Skull is a Professional Neurosurgeon 0

The story critique:The story was a great reflection on Avengers vs. X-men. The x-men admit they have failed to accomplish professor x's dream of peace between humans and mutants. On the other side, the avengers admit that they too have failed since they didn't help out the mutants that much. To make a resolution captain America proposes a new team, but this team has a twist. It will consist avengers and x-men, and the leader of this team is Alex Summers even though he doesn't want to now. It was...

The dream of Charles Xavier (minor spoilers) 0

In the wake of AvX events Rick Remender and John Cassaday join forces to deliver a new ongoing book from Marvel, selling the idea that a team made of Avengers and X-Men will help the healing process. The concept of this new book is very good, especially now that human's hatred towards mutants tends to increase and escalate to big proportions. The contradiction and paradigm here is hilarious: for years, after the "No more mutants", Cyclops and the X-men have been fighting to spark their kind agai...

    I prefer lattes 0

I do not read much Marvel and so I come to this series as a potential reader with the Marvel Now! reboot.  I come to this series specifically because one of the main problems that I have with Marvel is never really having a female character to connect with.  As this series is going to have three female characters which have always had some appeal to me (Rogue, Scarlet Witch and Wasp) I figured that I might give this series a try.  It is evident here that the Avengers vs. X-Men story arc is to co...
