Another Al Ewing disaster.
I have no idea why everyone is singing the praises for this book. It's four issues in and I have all of the same complaints with it as I do with the New Avengers title that Ewing is doing. There was no back story to how this team ended up together, there is no team dynamic, and the story lines are so rushed you feel like you missed an issue half of the time. You mount all of my old complaints that this title shares with New Avengers with the fact that in this issue Ewing has decided to rip off The Void with his new character Anti-Man, a character that is so powerful but no one seems to remember. Mr. Ewing, this was original when Paul Jenkins did it over 15 years ago, much like Contest of Champions was original over 30 years ago. I'm just going to come out with it: Al Ewing is an unoriginal, lazy writer.
