    We met him last issue, but who is the mutant known as Wolverine? What is Weapon X? And why is Cyclops so suspicious of him? As Professor X struggles to stop his fledgling team from exploding, the terrorist known as Magneto lauches his greatest assault on the human race!

    Wolverine slaughters the X-Men in training. The Brotherhood have the presidents daughter hostage. The X-Men seemingly beat the Brotherhood and Beast might be dead. yeah and blob breaks wind.

    In this issue the Brotherhood of Mutants kidnap the Presidents daughter, in order to make him call off the Sentinel program, sparking off, what I figure to be a decent debate.  If the Sentinels are causes extraordinarily violent deaths of mutants, why should the X-men, help a President that supports the program?  Not a debate the original X-men would have had.     Not Half As Cool, Witty, or Intelligent As It Thinks It Is 0

    Man, Ultimate X-Men devolved fast. Here we are in the third issue, a smash-and-grab where the X-Men have to rescue the First Daughter when she's been kidnapped by the Brotherhood of Mutants. The Brotherhood of Mutants are using the girl as a bargaining chip to stop the Sentinel attacks on mutants, which sparks a two panel debate over the ethics of the tactics.
