    After Peter's breakup with Mary Jane and Kitty Pryde's breakup with Iceman both teenagers were found dateless. Kitty called Peter out to dinner and at the end of the day she found herself teaming up with Spider-Man fighting the Shocker. This was the beginning of the Parker/Pryde relationship sealed off with a kiss.
