The Death of Spider- Man Begins
The prelude to the highly anticipated Death of Spider- Man arc.
The Good: I am loving what is currently going on with the Black Cat. The artwork on her sections are so much better then the Spider/Iron man parts. Also, I think her part of the story interesting. Bendis' depiction of Peter as this super fanboy when he meets Iron Man and spends some time with him is also pretty fun to read. It seems like the right way a fanboy would react, because, lets face it, that is what Peter Parker is. The way this issue concludes will really set the next issue up to start with a huge BANG, so I'm excited to see where it will go from here.
The Bad: Another issue with split art work. I have a huge problem with this in this title because the difference is so noticeable, and to me, one artists is clearly so much better then the other. Also, for some reason the cover seemed a little bit off to me. Now, as for Tony finally training Peter. Still hasn't happened. Tony actually tells Peter that he has no idea what he's supposed to do. He just told him to punch his armor, that was all. Really? After so much building to that Spider- Man was going to be trained by Iron Man, this is what we get?
"The Death of Spider- Man" has begins here. After all is said and done, Bendis has been doing a terrific job with Ultimate Spider so there's no way that I could not recommend this. Huge things are about to unfold ahead.
