Awesome Story That Happens to Have Hawkeye In It 0

The best part of this book is the thing that works most to its detriment. It's so awesome that this book is happening concurrently with The Ultimates. It just comes at the cost of knowing anything about Hawkeye. It seems to me that he's a cocky, crack shot who's also good at cracking almost every other hero. You know what? I'm totally fine with that. I don't need to care about Hawkeye to care about what's happening. The best part about the Ultimate relaunch is that it seems like the t...

This Is the Ultimate Universe I Have Been Missing. 2

The other relaunch, that of Marvel's Ultimate franchise, continues with Ultimate Hawkeye and continues to succeed at breathing new life into what I once firmly believed to be decaying zombie of a franchise.  On a mission in Bangkok, Hawkeye suddenly finds himself in the middle of a superhuman proliferation crisis that will dramatically shift the world's balance of power in chaotic ways unless he can find a way to bring it under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s control first. It is a story premise that is both act...

Clint Vs. The World 0

Writer Jonathan Hickman tackles the Ultimate Marvel Comics version of Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye as he works for S.H.I.E.L.D. and tries to thwart an invasion of super-powered soldiers turned into artificial mutants in Bangkok. A pair of scientists have developed a virus that kills the X gene that creates mutants and unleashed it on the world. Apparently the entire world has been infected and now the chances of mutants being born have been dramatically lowered. They've also reverse engineered it to...

Ultimate Hawkeye finally gets a series. 2

Synopsis: Hawkeye is sent to Bangkok to discover SEAR’s plans.                 What’s Good? When it comes to the mainstream universe, I’m not much of a fan of Hawkeye. Some can argue that the mainstream version is better than the Ultimate version, but personally, I prefer the Ultimate version. Clint has play side character long enough, and with this series, it feels like he's back to his old self before Ultimates 3 character wise. There was an issue to see if Clint Barton could hold his own wi...

A new type of mutants 0

Cover I picked this issue on whim. I have been really liking the ultimate series so I decided to pick this one up. I loved the cover art for it and can’t wait to see more covers for this series. Story Hawkeye is working for Nick Fury and finds about this serum that the SEARS are making that is stronger than mutants. They also want to eliminate the X-gene with a virus they will be passing around. Best Part When I read the Ultimate Fallout series I did not think that series would be co...
