    Trapped on part of a collapsed bridge, Tyree formed a group with the other people that got stuck. Fortunately, they were cut off from the Crossed virus. One day, they were visited by survivalists Morgan and Olivia, who divided the group into smaller pieces so they could manage them.

    Morgan and Olivia sowed doubt and anger into the group. Part of the group was sent to the mainland to forage for food. The group left on the bridge started distrusting each other, eventually killing each other. To survive a Crossed invasion, Tyree jumped off the bridge and swam to shore. There he was joined by Richard, who was previously pushed off the bridge.
