    Turok Takes A Dive

Hi, I was created to die.
Hi, I was created to die.

Not at all the best issue of the series. Things have been building up to a final confrontation with Mon-Ark but it is too soon for it. Mon-Ark had all the makings of what Turok needs as a character and that is an arch nemesis. This alone is enough not to buy this comic but is gets worse.

Two more things that made this issue intolerable are the in battle political debate between Maria Cortez and Turok. They are fighting for their lives in the midst of an ambush and have a too in depth conversion for their situation. Added to that is the character of Anibal Suarez who is created to die and he is dripping with the obvious death that is coming by his introduction on the first panel he appears.

The only saving grace of this book are Carlos Comacho surviving the battle and the reintroduction of Serita. These could lead to some better stories and I am hopeful for them. I read these books twenty yeas ago when they came out and most of this is all new again. That fact worries me that they may not have been worth remembering after all these years but I am hopeful that I will find something I missed. I only recommend this book to readers who want to see the final battle between Turok and Mon-Ark. I gave it only two out of five stars.

Thank you for reading my review.
