Once an angel in Heaven, Turel was cast down to Earth for his vanity. He was cursed into taking the bodies of others to survive, his perfect body gone forever. This caused him to have great hatred and contempt for God.
He greatly wished to become a demon lord and eventually devised a plan to kill Avengelyne to gain respect. He took the body of a ninja of the Clan of Quiet Palace. He then learned all he needed to know from the memories of the ninja. He struck a deal with the leader of the criminal organization Cynosure, Joshua Tiersma.
Together they lured Avengelyne and her ally Cybrid (who was sought by Tiersma) into a trap. Turel soon tried to take Avengelyne's body but she was able to resist and defeat him.
