    Short summary describing this person.

He had immediate success with his first series Death Note, and since then has only written works with the same artist of that series, Takeshi Obata. Currently working on the third series together, all their series have been commercially successful.

Interestingly, the only work Ohba has published without Obata was a one-shot published in Weekly Young Jump (where Obata was just finishing a short serial in that same magazine with another writer) and as such, Ohba has always been serialized alongside Obata.

Speculative fan theory based off of clues suggests he is Gamō Hiroshi, though they are known for extremely different styles of work.
