Transformers: Dark of The Moon (or DOTM) serves as the final installment of the Transformer film franchise. It continues with the war between the autobots and decepticons but also provides an ending to the entire trilogy. In the film Sam has become a decorated war hero but suffers a broken heart after breaking up with Mikaela. However he soon finds a new love interest in Carly.

Concerning the autobots Optimus Prime meets his predecessor Sentinel Prime who was revealed to be his and Megatron's mentor during the comic book prequel. He was onboard The Ark which crashed on the moon during in 1961. However he later betrays the autobots and joins Megatron. In turn Sentinel kills Ironhide by shooting him in the face. He and Megatron return to Cybertron but Megatron soon betrays him also. After the events of the last film Megatron has again assumed as new vehicle form of a rusty truck, described as "demented version of Optimus Prime." He was also wears a cowl to cover the innjuried parts of his face.

It is later revealed that Megatron's scientist Shockwave was imprisoned by the humans underneath the Chernobyl and he was responsible for the Tunguska event. He serves as the final antagonist for the movie and was described as "a little bit more vicious than Megatron" and commands a cybertronian driller, however he is killed by Optimus Prime. The Decepticon transforms into a Cybertronian tank.

The two characters Mudflap and Skids will not be present in the film however new characters for example the autobot sub-team called The Wreckers.

A Perfect Ending To The Best Sci-fi Franchise Ever 0

I saw this today, and it was amazing. It was a perfect ending to a great line of movies.    They make it look like during the battle for Cybertron, a alien spacecraft, known as the arch, escaped caring rods that could help the autobots claim victory over Cybertron. But as the arch was escaping, a member of the decepticons shot it and the arch was haywire. It ended up crash landing on the moon. So they make it to seem the reason we went up to the moon in '69 was to see what crashed there.   Later...

A Great Transformers movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 0

This is a great movie because it has a great storyline, action and some laughs. I think this is the best of the Transformers movies becuase it is a blast with so much drama and action i really enjoyed it. Some of the new autobots were great, but keep your eyes on Sentinel Prime. I really enjoyed this movie and i'm giving it a 5/5 because this is a great summer movie and has some spectacular action scenes and really damaged city of chicago, but overall i recommend this is movie for fans to watch....
