    Not Bad But Not Epic

Tor: A Prehistoric Odyssey, as the title implies, was intended to be an epic story of Joe Kubert's greatest comic creation, Tor. In this final issue, Tor battles a T-Rex (you knew Joe was saving that for last), and another adversary. The story doesn't wrap up, so much as end, which almost seems to further highlight the fact that this really isn't any grand tale, but a string of episodes in the life of this character, a sort of stone age Conan. It has it's ups and downs, but never really rises above the genre. As such, I feel I can only really recommend it only to fans of either Joe Kubert, barbarian style fantasy, or pulp 'Lost Worlds' type adventure stories.
