At some point in the past, Tony Stark developed an A.I. copy of his mind to replace him in the event that he perished. After Stark was rendered comatose following a battle with Captain Marvel, the A.I. was delivered to Riri Williams, a teenage genius Tony had taken an interest in prior to his injury. The A.I. served as Riri's mentor, helping the young girl during her fledgling superhero career and develop her second suit of armor. During HYDRA's takeover of the United States, the Tony A.I. inhabited one of the real Stark's old suits of armor, and used it to help liberate the country. When the real Tony awoke from his coma, the A.I. briefly served as the operating system in his armor. The Tony A.I. was ultimately destroyed by an EMP bomb during a fight against the Vision and Wonder Man (who had been fused together by Ultron).
