Tony Mortellaro began working in comic books in the early 1950s. He drew horror, romance and war stories for Trojan Comics, and did art on titles like Battle Cry, Weird Mysteries and Weird Tales of the Future for Stanmor. He has mainly worked for Timely/Atlas/Marvel, doing art on the mystery, war and western titles in the 1950s. In the 1970s, he inked 'Captain America' and 'Spider-Man'.
