Who do you think is the best Robin and by that I mean whilst they were Robin because Grayson as Nightwing rules but he sucked bat balls as Robin. And there's a reason I put this in Tim Drake's forum!
Tim Drake
Character » Tim Drake appears in 3333 issues.
At the age of nine, Timothy Drake cleverly deduced the identities of Batman and Robin. Four years later, after the death of Jason Todd, Tim convinced Batman that he should be the new Robin. He would later become leader of Young Justice.
Who is the best Robin?
they are all special in their own way.
Grayson: Well, yeah he did suck as robin because he showed no personality, except when he said something like HOLY MAC N CHEESE!
Todd: he was a darker and a more rebel version of grayson
Drake: he had mad detective skills and was horrible at jokes.
Damian: (which I love/hate, it depends who writes him) is a mix of all of them, he has Jason's rage, Grayson's fighting skills, and Drake's genius
Grayson sucked as Robin??
Yeah, because establishing your own identity by founding a team of sidekicks and being the best leader ever is really bad on a resume.
Drake is a great Robin. He is the most like Batman in that he is calculating and a great detective. His solo arc during the 90s was also ground breaking for the role of a sidekick.
This being said, does that make him the best Robin? He is certainly not the most acrobatic nor is he the best fighter. He has glimpses of comedy, but is by far not the funniest. He really hasn't been the center of any controversy, even going so far as to make Tim a virgin. He shows glimpses of darkness especially after Conner's death and the clone incidents.
In my opinion he is the best Robin, simply because he was MY Robin. However, if he doesn't establish himself in the New 52 with an ongoing monthly (I don't count TT) then I fear that he has a high chance of fading into obscurity. Hopefully that doesn't happen and Tim Drake will continue to play a large role in the Bat-Universe
Tim Drake is the best Robin. Dick Grayson is the best hero. Jason Todd is the most interesting (imo).
Drake , he's different from the rest .
Grayson , Damian and Jason all took the mantle of Robin with either assassin skills or acrobatical skills or street fighting skills etc. and continued to focus on their physical capabilities throughout their careers , Drake's different , he was a bright kid who figured out who batman was through his brains and then added the physical side to it , not the other way around , he is robin who realises that his most important tool in the fight against crime is his brain .
Secondly , Grayson was chosen because Bruce felt a similar pain to him as a child and when he discovered Bruce was Batman because he lived with him Bruce made him his sidekick . Damian was Bruce's son as well as a former assassin so it's only logical he take the role of robin . Unlike the others though Damian wasn't given the role , he took it . He figured out who was behind the bat cowl himself and claimed the mantle of Robin through that.
Drake is by far the best .
I believe Bruce already settled this when he named Dick his successor as Batman. I know Tim and Jason threw on the suit but they were never official.
best is hard to decribe...
Since Grayson kinda made the Robin mantle I would think it would be him.
Jason is the anti-hero or whatever.
Tim is a logical choice for being the best Robin.
I dont count Stephanie Brown.
Damian is the perfect candidate for being Robin, but its still to early to know whats gonna happen with him or if we can consider him being the best.

Tim
Dick and Jason are best as Red hood and Nightwing and damian hasnt proven himself enough to say he is as good a robin as drake.
I've explained the whys and hows of this several times before on this forum...
Tim Drake is the best, period.
If you want to argue best hero as someone mentioned then Tim is also the best Hero.
Dick didn't give up anything and he does it because he view it as an adventure. That is not "heroic"
Jason Todd gained from being Robin and did it for vengeance. That is not "Heroic"
Damian is doing it to prove something to Bruce
Stephanie did it because she recognized Tim's reason but also because she wanted to prove herself and ultimately being a vigilante for her isn't a selfless thing.
Tim is the only one that has been selfless, didn't gain anything from being robin, and indeed sacrificed much. he's the only one, in my opinion, that qualifies as being heroic.
I think that Tim is the best Robin... Or I guess he wasn't Robin anymore..! D: But that's not the point.
I was going to get some scans for evidence or reasons why I think he is the best.. When I found this and decided just to show this! :D http://www.fanpop.com/spots/tim-drake/articles/22638/title/quotes-on-tim-drake
I would say Tim Drake but according to Scott Lobdell he was never a Robin.Ladies and Gentlemen the New 52 at its finest

what he said...
I like Tim Drake because he was the Robin that I grew up with . Jason Todd was mostly written as a spoiled brat which didn't go over well at the time but in the modern era I think he'd be far more interesting , maybe not well liked but ppl would understand the character better and writers would have more freedom to explore that aspect and basically make him into what Damian Is becoming . Dick I think gets a bad wrap again because of his era. I've read that even true comic fans complained about how Bat and him were on the shows. Thing is they were right in the middle of the comic code era where comics were almost outlawed due to violence so all DC characters were stuck as fun loving, corny joke telling and full of 70's love not war techno color'ism. With that I would judge Dick more for his years as a Teen Titan and as Night Wing than as he was as Batman's Robin. Plus the fact that I wasn't alive during his run and didn't grow up with him as Robin , I don't think it's fair for me to truly judge. The girl and Damian I haven't read so idk.
Tim Drake and Dick Grayson are the only ones who can really be considered lol. Tim Drake's the best Robin in terms of Batman and Robin as a team, because he was written in the right time for the character to stand out and he definitely earned the name time and again. Because of the tragedy that is Jason Todd, Tim received more training and was kept close to the Bat at first to make sure he'd be 100% ready for anything he'd face out there. Because of the glory that is Dick Grayson, Tim wasn't held too close for long and was eventually given his own breathing room after he'd proven himself. This allowed him the chance to go on more of his own adventures than the previous Robin's did. Tim is the Robin he is because of how Bruce handled his first two sons. He learned from the mistakes he made with both and was careful to treat Tim with all the respect he deserved.
Dick Grayson's the best Robin in terms of being a hero, you only have to read the New Teen Titans era to understand that. Back when Dick was being written as Robin alongside Bruce he wasn't given much personality and didn't have many solo adventures. It wasn't until the New Teen Titans where he really started to shine on his own. That's why he isn't the best Robin in terms of Robin being in Gotham with Batman. His best days were never in Gotham. They were out of Gotham with the Teen Titans. Which is one of the reasons he's the best hero for the world out of the Robin's. He's had a bigger impact on the superhero community than Tim or the others by being a founding member of the Teen Titans, and pretty much the overall leader (Like in Young Justice) Not only did he do good work with the Titans, but he formed a legendary team that would set the standard for years to come, and made it so that the concept would be emulated by future young heroes. Giving them a place to meet, train, and work alongside others their own age, with similar problems.
Dick Grayson simply wasn't Robin during the right era. Re-create him in the comic world of today and it'd be a different story, but as things stand Tim takes the title of best Robin, with Dick a close second.
Tim Drake he is the robin i grew up with so im partial in my mind he was the only one really equal to batman in intelligence. all of the robins had something to offer but i feel Tim was the most like Bruce in every way.
