The Green Goblin Returns In A Big Way!
One of the few resurrections or bringing back a dead character that I have supported is Norman Osborn. I have enjoyed his return and his leading of the Thunderbolts without the mask, costume, and gimmicks of the Green Goblin. Even here the readers are treated to Norman's breaking down under psychic manipulation and giving speeches while nude. I have always viewed him as a mix between Lex Luthor and the Joker...this makes his reemergence as the Green Goblin a big deal to me. Yes he puts his costume back on and goes on a killing spree in Thunderbolt Mountain. He sees himself as a hero above heroes and that everything that needs to be done right needs to be done by him. He fights Swordsman for the HQ. There is a line I want to share just to get you to read this book: Swordsman "You Can't Do This! I'm a Baron!" Goblin, "I AM GOD!" Wow...please read this book.
Other things I liked about this book is the intricacies of the group of telepath's plans. Just when you think the heroes/villains of this book figure out whats going on...they influence someone else. The telepaths have a plan that will destroy everything and I believe it will. Sometimes actions can be too bad and public to be erased.
We find out the fate of Venom, a hint to the future of Penance, a psychological visit from Doc Samson, and a lot of hilarious scenes with the security of Thunderbolt Mountain. It has been a while since I have read a book that had my jaw dropping after every scene. Perfection.
PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!
