    Origin

    Thumpty Dumpty was the descendent of Humpty Dumpty, but unlike his frail ancestor, the boistrous schoolboy egg was extremely durable - hard-boiled, you might say. Though he didn't intend to be badly behaved, he had a short temper and was overly exuberant even when not riled, with a tendency to hit things while expressing himself, much to the consternation of his parents and others around him.

    Created by artist Bob Hill, Thumpty Dumpty debuted in Whoopee! on 26th June 1976.
