Because the people who edit are as slow as the character.

It's a wiki, the "people who edit" are registered Comicvine members, not anyone they have on staff, all they do is review and approve submitted changes and additions. Anyway, the only submissions I've ever made are correcting misspellings and grammatical errors, there was one time I rewrote quite a bit of one entry that was a complete mess, but that took me a couple of hours, which is why I prefer just addressing simple errors.
