Thor Story Arcs Popularity Contest
Both are great, but Ragnarok is better to me. It's just pure "Thor" in every way
Surtur Saga for me has always been that defining Arch in the Thor verse. Written so well. Tons of cliff hangers, Epic enemy, Team ups, and of course That suprise ending... Surtur Saga FTW
Better than Surtur Saga, maybe and it is a big maybe, Michael Avon Oeming Ragnarok.
Well, about that big maybe, Walt is clearly Thor best writer, but Thor best single arc is the one written by Michael, sure that we could make many arguments for both, but Oeming Ragnarok was the only time that i felt that Thor fulfilled all ours and Odin's expectations about him...

Thanks to everyone for participating !!
Heck yeah Overall I can live with that. I'd place eternals above Ragno and Ballad but this is just as good. Let's bring Simmonson back (I wish)
Maybe we can do a Thor leading Ladies or villians or something
Pretty solid list but I'm a bit surprised at the lack of Jurgens representation - imo Spiral is better than any of the voted top 3.
@blackspidey2099: @kevd4wg: The Reigning Saga came in at fourth place, so still pretty good. God Butcher on 5th place.
EDIT: Update with the top five.
Thanks for the effort & thread...
Liked this more than the Thor best writers, since unlike the writers, i never put much thought in Thor arcs hierarchy.

No problem, glad you guys enjoyed it.
It will be interesting to see how the top five here compares to the other site.
Simonson at the top, but with completely different arcs, and God Butcher fared better there, which is to be expected, but Walt did have three arcs in the top five as opposed to only two here. Anyway, yeah, it's been fun seeing how the results have evolved over the last two months, I'd actually be interested to see how every story arc ranks from first to last.
@thor-parker: Wow thats pretty cool.
@thor-parker: Nice. I usually don't think about people in the industry, either current or former, keeping tabs on discussions/topics on the boards around here.
@antithetical: @coolcat4: Yeah, pretty cool that Oeming answered, Walter Simonson is aware of the result as well, I tweeted the contest to him and he liked the tweet, so I guess he may have looked at this thread too.
