This is the thread in which everyone can discuss Thor in various versions outside of comics in. Chris Hemsworth stars as the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (next movie "Thor Ragnarok")

Disney XD Animation:

Thor appears in the animated series "Avengers Assemble" and "Guardians of the Galaxy", voiced by Travis Willingham.

Video-games:

Thor is a playable character in "Lego Marvel Super Heroes" voiced by Travis Willingham.

Thor will appear as a playable character in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite", also voiced by Travis Willingham.

Thor is set to appear in the upcoming Square Enix game more info to be released in 2018

Nice, can´t wait for Ragnarok.

The new official trailer for Ragnarok will most likely be released alongside Spider-Man:Homecoming and will probably include more about the storyline of the film.

I believe the teaser trailer didn't show anything from the third act of the film and am not sure if the next one will either it seems they are trying to not reveal much about it but the next trailer should at least give us some direction of the films story.

As curiosity, and to possibly please comic book fans and represent better Thor powers from the comics, (possible spoilers ahead) this lego figure may (finally) confirm Thor lightning without the hammer in live action...

@asgaard: Have they said how big of a role Sif is going to play in the film ? Do you think she might get pushed to the side a bit due to Valkyrie?

No one really knows her role in the movie, and it was never officially confirmed, or Jaimie Alexander seen in the movie sets, (at least to my knowledge), and Jaimie always was kinda vague about this movie, i just can't conceive a Ragnarok movie without Sif, it would be a huge disappointment that could define my appreciation of the movie just by this variable...

@asgaard: Yea it would be a huge disservice to Sif and her fans if they just wrote her out the movie would be very disrespectful to her given the huge role she has in Thor and his world. Also given that she has had a fairly notable role in the mcu being in both Thor films and appearing in AoS multiple times too. I really hope she has a good sized role, and tbf they haven't revealed too much about the film yet so I think she should be in it.

Chris Hemsworth says that he knows when we'll see the Soul Stone in the mcu and that we're going to see it "really soon" he didn't confirm or deny it is in Ragnarok though it seems to suggest it is

Being a collector of these I will likely be buying a few the detail of the figures gets better each time. I'll likely be buying Thor, Loki and Hela with the headdress looks great I will get her depending on if she is a great villain which I am hoping she is. Will also get Gladiator Hulk as I don't have a Hulk and that design is great probably the best out of all of these tbh. Also Heimdall getting a figure I feel like he will be having a much bigger role to play in this film even though he already has a figure.

I believe that this is only wave 1 and they will have a second wave with other characters and also the same with different designs, I'd predict a Thor with Mjolnir and his helmet on which they won't want to reveal just yet that he gets Mjolnir back. Also interesting he doesn't have those swords in his figure which have been present in alot of the marketing so far and he has long hair...

Also we will get maybe Loki with his helmet, also Odin and Valkyrie, possibly Fenrir and Surtur if he's in the film a Surtur figure would be great.

Travis does a pretty fine job as a voice actor. Thor has also appeared in emh, lego marvel avengers, and is set to appear in lego marvel superheroes 2

@thor_parker82: lol I own a fair few I like to just have them on my shelf. My favourite looking one apart from Thor is probably my Hulkbuster one cause it's an oversized one so it's huge and just looks great.

I wish he was a 6 inch figure then I'd be sure he's actually going to be huge in the film I hope he's not just frost giant size, though maybe they didn't feel he would make enough sales to be a 6 inch figure. Still surprised there's no Hulk 6 inch figure yet.

Now that i watched 3 times...

1- The cinematography and worldbuilding look incredible, and it is not easy to present all that different places.

2- The tone and pace also look very well balanced and the characters look all good but Hela and Surtur look a lot better than i ever expected.

3- What is always a good sign, is when after the teaser trailer and trailer, there are still so much things about the movie that we don't know.

Yea they have nailed Hela and Surtur! Surtur is actually huge unlike the Frost Giants he looks ripped straight out of the comics so does Hela

I'm glad they're finally acknowledging the word God again too Taika is doing great from what we've seen so far

That scene of Thor engulfed in lightning is something I've always wanted to see

@ms-lola: I don't feel like Sif is going to be in the film that much/at all but it's possible she gets killed by Hela and resurrected to her dead army and fights against Thor

From a storytelling perspective makes more sense that there is always resistance (even if hidden) after the invasion... I really hope that could be Sif's role...

lol that's pretty cool wish they got comic writers to write the plots of the films they'd be much more true to the characters, though maybe wouldn't work out too well as films idk. Like imagine Simonson or JMS wrote the plot for a Thor film it'd be great I'd imagine
