So.....the new retcon for thor

Yeah not even i can side with aaron in that one
Who the hell is she
some mutant cave woman who is the first Phoenix host on Earthc.

😂😂😂
Eh, probably fake out.
true, at least i hope so
Phoenix possessed Gaea and she birthed Thor.
The thought of this makes me want to vomit
Trash Aaron at it again
@thor321: Wait but didn't Gaea always birth Thor?
Also what book is this from?

Frigga was his original mother.
it was changed to Gaea being his birth mother later on.
it's from current Avengers run.
I'ma just ignore this
Same, just like I do with all the other garbage Aaron has written during his Avengers run.
I want to see where this is going
Straight into the trash, lol!

I don't recall Frigga ever being portrayed as Thor's true mother. Which era are you referring to there? Gaea was fully revealed as Thor's true mother in Thor 300 I believe(Eternals Saga). I recall Frigga mostly appearing under Simonson's run.

I dunno.
I barely recall those things tbh but didn't he call Frigga his mother pre 300# reveal???

I don't really recall Frigga appearing much prior to Simonson's run if at all.

I'll have to go back and reread Lee's run one day.

ya I've read a large majority of it(though its been a while) and can't recall any wife figure for Odin in it. I think Frigga was the first mention of one which was around Thor 345-350.
@antithetical: So they could say they have one. It's just for show.
@antithetical: A question I've been asking for quite a long time. Probably to make sure proper punctuation is used.
Why Marvel even has an editorial department is beyond me.

there was an interview on Women's Day yesterday with Torunn Grønbekk who co-writes King in Black: Return of the Valkyries and upcoming The Mighty Valkyries.
She said that Marvel gave them creative freedom to do whatever they want without asking them. Once she asked them something about what she would do with Loki (didn't reveal what though) and they were Nah, you can't do that.
So basically Marvel most likely gave Aaron complete freedom on Avengers book.
Quesada ushered in the "anything goes!" mantra. Though it was already en vogue after Shooter was banished.
@applekidthethird: @haveatthee:
On the bright side, Aaron's time on Thor related mythology is coming to an end. Torunn said that Aaron gave her the reins and she just asks him if it's ok. He mostly adds humor because she isn't that good at it.
I think his time is coming to an end.

There is no specific date but it seems he won't be around for long.

Lets hope she doesn't write any garbage, how good is she anyway?

She writes King in Black: The Return of the Valkyries with Aaron. At least Jane needs a lot of help. If it was Aaron she would solo most things. Also, she is from Norway so she should know mythology way better than anyone.
What avengers comic did the whole Phoenix thing start?
Avengers 100,000 bc I think.
