I miss Thor the hero, Thor the defender, the self-assured warrior. So will we see him return to himself or are we in store for yet another bad year of stories?

Its funny that the movies mocked the idea of him being the God of Hammers, yet the comics have turned him into a God of Hammers, solely defined by his weapon.

I hope they play out this idea they had soon and get him back to being The Mighty Thor

i think Aaron is having fun with thor as of now, and his enjoyment comes from annoying thor fans.

I miss that Thor, as well. Reading through the Jurgens years all the way to JMS and Gillen fairly recently and seeing how different Thor used to be is vexing.

As others have said, Thor needs a new direction and writer. Enough fooling around with beards, self-pity and axes. Give the guy his normal look and personality back.

Walt sinknt is the best of Thor miss his work. Epic is what he did best. Surtur Saga is still the best. Been a few other good runs but Aaron after The God Butcher went straight to the bottom. Hoping for a better year but not expecting it

I'd say Gillen's Thor was decent, Fraction's was decent in parts and Aaron's Thor was pretty good in his GoT run. Everything since then is shit though. Which doesn't even get into all the ret cons, the bringing in of the All Mother and how Odin has been characterized plus all the Thordis nonsense. All of which has dragged Thor down as much as how he himself has been written in recent years.
