Incoming Gladiator vs Thor/Fem-Thor rematch.
Thor
Character » Thor appears in 8593 issues.
Thor Odinson is the All-father of Asgard /God of Thunder, offspring of All-Father Odin & Elder-Goddess Gaea. Combining the powers of both realms makes him an elder-god hybrid and a being of no perceivable limits. Armed with his enchanted Uru hammer Mjolnir which helps him to channel his godly energies. The mightiest and the most beloved warrior in all of Asgard, a staunch ally for good and one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse/omniverse. Thor is also a founding member of the Avengers.
Asgard/Shi'ar War begins in October for Marvel Now!
C'mon Gladiator!!! Kick her @ss!!!!! Mercilessly! Kick that hammer out of her hands and lay the smackdown on her as she reverts! The REAL Thor doesn't need a hammer to be a god! Time to put up or shut up "goddess of thunder".......... Though with Aaron at the helm, another "high five girl power" moment is probably on its way with Xenith.
Btw- shouldn't it be the Shiar/ ASGARDIA war???? Or is marvel losing track of continuity even WITHIN its current fractured stories framework????? Jeez.....
@thunderingthorfan: Odin is back so I assume its Asgard now, considering that the Goddess Freya is no longer the ruler.
@dernman: TOO TRUE!!!
I bet they make Gladiator/Shi'ar the villains as they'll never have them be in the "right" but hopefully Gladiator is written up to standard, i want to see him blitz some Thor's again with ease.
@asgardianbrony: How is Asgard the most powerful? There are a bunch of Elder Gods and Outer Gods who would easily destroy Asgard. There are also Promodial Gods who are equal to Galactus.
Those same aliens almost killed the Phoenix Force and posses the M'Krann Crystal, a Nexus point to all realities.
Not saying Shi'Ar would win, but you are underestimating them. Also a plot device can easily be made. Like Odin sleeping.
@asgardianbrony: Bruh Phoenix > All Pantheons together. Does not matter because Shi'Ar does not have Phoenix. All I said you underestimated them. I never said They have a chance to win.
@asgardianbrony: Haters Dost Hate.

Are you sure? Phoenix is superior to just the combination of Thor #300 Odin+Destroyer+Odinsword? In the mentioned issue... Odin was fighting several Celestials with the mentioned weapons...
@asgaard: Phoenix stopped the Multiverse being destroyed and repaired the damage in her weaker incarnation. And both her classic and modern handbook clarify her as Multiversal being.

So Phoenix Force » Celestials?
@asgaard: Pretty much. And I am aware of I think 95% of their feats. I even made a Respect Thread for Celestials. Want me to sent you a link?

I already saw the thread... Still not understanding how even the writer said Thor KO'd the Phoenix force in one Avengers title from the 2012 AxX event? How is this power levels variation explained?
@asgaard: There are a few:
1. - The writer who started that was Hickman, who is Full of High End stuff in opinion and writting.
2. - That is another one of Thor's high End showing.
3. - Phoenix Force was needed in that story like a lot.
4. - Without Jean Grey, there are times when Phoenix was mentally unstable, making her vulnerable to attacks that the guys like Silver Surfer could tank.

Was Hickman that said that!?! Thought it was (Secret Avengers #28 iirc) writer Rick Remender...
2. - That is another one of Thor's high End showing.
Could be just in my mind but i don't see characters with similar power do the same to the Celestials in any story line...
3. - Phoenix Force was needed in that story like a lot.
I understand that... But doesn't also shows that the Phoenix Force fits the mundane a lot more than entities/characters below the Celestials?

Overall (even if you say feats show otherwise) i think that in the Marvel comics worldbuilding the Celestials hierarchy is above the Phoenix Force... But that maybe be just my (flawed) perception...
@asgaard: It was explained on panel that Mjolnir was able to absorb some of her power. (Does the same thing to Surfer)
I know... And that was a cheap/lazy/instant plot device... My point/view is that regardless of feats the Celestials (due to the scope of their concept) seem more invulnerable to this cheap/lazy/instant plot devices... Or P.I.S...
Wasn't this supposed to happen in October... October is almost ended.
There was supposed to be the "War Of The Realms" as well and I don't think that really went anywhere either.
@antithetical: everything that was epic and potentially set up in Aaron's run was forgotten. We didn't even get a good Beta Ray or Hercule's team up
Odin will probably still be mourning Frigga during this war, so he may not take place in it. Maybe he'll come towards the end to put an end to it all.
Jane Thor to the rescue watch and see hate though you might. Still I am curious and looking forward either to a distpicable story or a surprising and enjoyable one. As long as the gladiator Thor fight is good I won't complain
@apex_pretador: Not yet, this story starts in a month or two.
