    Hammer to Fall. 1

    The first issue of Thor: The Mighty Avenger introduces us to a very different Odinson than the one we have become accustomed to in The Straczynski and Gillen runs of late, this Thor is younger and more brash so I’m going to say from the get go that if your picking this up to see the current incarnation of the character then you are going to be disappointed.  The story surrounds Jane Foster who is no longer a nurse but a curator of a museum, (probably the biggest change to the established history...

     What an odd little comic. When I first heard news of this comic, I was excited only for the art, with no real need for a greater Thor fix. See, Marvel (and DC) seem to think that certain characters NEED multiple books. Hence Batman, Batman and Robin, Streets of Gotham. Hence Invincible Iron Man and Iron Man Legacy. Hence why even though Amazing Spider-Man comes out thrice a month we still get Web of Spider-Man and Peter Parker and all the minis. Despite what Marvel tells us though, we don't NEE...

    The Story It’s a very straight to the point approach that takes some similar details from Thor's regular titles and uses them in new ways to introduce us to characters like Jane Foster and Thor for the first time. In this new continuity you can enter this title without any idea who Thor is and not be lost at all.
