Is Thor more powerful without Mjolnir than with Mjolnir in Thor Ragnarok? Do you think he can use his lightning if he had Mjolnir?
Is Thor *Spoilers*
his best feats are still with mjolnir
He can fight while simultaneously lightning spamming with pinpoint accuracy without having to physically initiate it. It's instant and entirely psychokinetic at this point, no need for using Mjolnir as a conduit, which was quite limiting in hindsight. As well, electricity seems to persistently covers his body during combat. He's lost flight and a few tricks with Mjolnir, but overall I'd say he's significantly more powerful now.
yes, IMO thor became more powerful without mjolnir, while mjolnir was helping him focused his power, it is also limiting him from his true potential. as we have seen in ragnarok he can control the lightning better now. without any limitation.
If mjolnir is given back to thor after ragnarok, he be a beast more . more versatile than before
Seems his lightning is more powerful now, Odin said Mjolnir was helping him focus and control his power now he can cut it loose he doesn't need a conduit anymore. Mjolnir gave him some abilities which are useful like flight, defensive shield and striking power etc. But overall he's more powerful now than he was, though he'd be next level if he also had Mjolnir
@thorthunder98: Nah. He still gets shot by a NYPD cop and dies.?
the whole point of the movie was to show the hammer is useless for him because the power is inside of him. He doesn't need it anymore.
@gazool: NYPD cops be OP these days dude
@gazool: lol, I laughed harder than I should.
@thecrazybean: It's the Truth though. He shoots him in the eye. Thor dies.
@DammeFavour: No they aren't. He couldn't even knock captain America off his fear with Mjolnir, but he hit hulk across the arena with a rando hammer. Doesn't make much sense but oh well
@hdoom16: you do know he did the same on the helicarrier right?
i think he found more confidence so if he used his hammer he wouldnt rely on it so much which is a good thing
@DammeFavour: it wasn't nearly to the extent in Ragnarok where he flew threw half the arena's walls
@hdoom16: he also used a weapon in that instance

I actually have a theory he is going to have to learn how to fly in Infinity War and may have some other tricks up his sleeve. Usually the Russo brothers seem to up the voltage a bit during those big fight scenes; like Antman going Giant Man.
He seems to have more control over his powers but Thor with a weapon is a lot cooler especially if we seem him dual wield in Infinity War

This
If he had Mjolnir now that he has mastered his abilities, he´d be extremely powerful, I dare say he´d even give DCEU Superman trouble.
*goes away running before being attacked by rabid fanboys*
Mjolnir helped him channel his power. But even if he learns to channel his power himself, it's still a powerful blunt force weapon that has limited sentient fight abilities to assist him. He can still use it as a shield also.
In other words, it doesn't hold him back, and I hope he gets it back.
